A quick check of Yahoo Auctions indicated a good reason to hit Mong Kok that evening and so, we braved motion sickness and took the bus from Tokwawan to Mong Kok. Once I saw it, I knew this was the Hong Kong I had heard so much about, and is basically the Hong Kong that is featured in most travel brochures.

Basically, imagine a neighbourhood with various markets and stalls that doesn`t close till at LEAST 11:00 pm during normal times, and you basically have Mong Kok in a nut shell. I eventually found my way to Sino Center, where the highest concentration of toy stores could be found. I picked up my intended purchase (Izumi, Queen`s Blade) for $380 HK, which is about half price, as well as a DX Buster Hercules (Go-Buster) set for $299 HK, which is also about half MSRP.

The latter would end up causing me to hunt across several countries as I tried to complete the set.
