After a short wait, my YOLOPARK ANK Pro Optimus Prime arrived. Like with Megatron, this is basically a full fledged action figure that needs to be assembled by the end user, though I'm not actually sure why. All pieces are prepainted with some nice battle damage/general wear effects. Some parts are die cast, which are highlighted in Blue on the back of the box. Naturally, both figures are roughly the same height, coming in at 8.25 inches or so (or 20 cm as advertised).
Compared to Megatron, I guess the accessories are roughly equivalent, though I would argue that Megatron has more fun accessories. Optimus Prime has his Energon Axe, Megatron in pistol form, and the Matrix of Leadership that fits into the functional chest cavity. There are. The Head feature magnet activated LEDs, but as per usual I was too lazy to get a battery. Optimus also has those sweet, sweet forearm communicators, Facetiming other 'bots before it was popular.
So, like with Megatron, Optimus Prime features some pretty good articulation though. I figure the chest sits on a single ball joint. This allows tilt and a slight ab cruch, aided by hinge at the waist. Double jointed elbows and knees help with posing needs, along with the hiddern shoulder hinge that allows for arms to cross. . Ankles are there but they're a bit more work to get into position compared to Megatron. Hip articulation is actually slightly better than Megatron as there is an extra joint there that allows the leg to swing out further for greater clearance and range of motion in general. Head can do the basic movements but only slight tilts.
All things considered, Paint is, as with Megatron, pretty good. YOu get some very good paint coverage. I don't think there are any parts that are not painted, well at least on the figure. I don't thinkt he actual Bast/Stand is actually painted. The only visual artifacts I can discern are the purposely added battle damage markings, which are reall well done.. Having said that, , one major paint flaw that I found was on the knuckle on the right hand had too much paint or wasn't dried properly and such simple ripped off as soon as tried to form a fist.
Build isn't too bad. The packaging, specifically the trays, are not great. The actual parts of the kit, however, are pretty good. Overall, I'd say the finish and all that are pretty good,b ut some of the joints and general fit cold use a bit of improvement.
