Day 216 - August 27, 2011
Seems like I'm at going away parties on a weekly basis lately. This weekend was the leaving party for Amy and Emily, two friends that I first met in Jeju on Chuseok last year, shortly after they arrived in Korea. I'll never forget how they were always at the head of the pack as we biked around the perimeter of the island. For the entire year they were here, they crammed in as much as they possibly could into every free minute they had. Anyone coming to Korea, or living abroad anywhere for a short period of time, would do well to model their stay after these girls. They came, they saw, they got involved.
As a side note, going away parties for people who arrived in Korea after I got here makes me feel like I've been here too long.
