Biblioteca Ambrosiana, Milan This was found at the Web Gallery of Art website. I found this to be representational of the time because of the shadding and precision of the piece. In the beggining of the chapter we are taught that the artists were starting to be viewed as intellectuals. This piece signifies how mathmatically and scientifically an artist could actually be. Leonardo was able to MASTER the human anatomy like no one else was able to do. I just found this work to be interesting and a giant secualar leap foward into nothing that had really been explored up to this point in the renaissance.
