strobing_01_a family affair

I am working up an idea but the quality and control of light is critical so I have done some test shots today using my limited stobist skills.

Set up:

580EXII on tripod directly to left of sitter, fired remotely using canon ST-E2

Daughters2&3 are holding my filter relfector in front and the strobe is snooted with my trusty black foam snoot.

(umbrella and stand are on my birthday wish list)

Black relfector cover is hanging over the clothes airer to eliminate as much as possible the off white wall.

Canon 30d lense 50mm f1.4

shot at 1/60 sec f/9.

Flash is dialled down -1/3

I have adjusted the white balance slightly otherwise these shots are straight out of the box.

considering my assistants are aged 9,5 and 3 I am pretty happy with the results, any technical guidance welcomed
