renaissance polar bear

Multi-media, vintage circular frame.

 

For some reason, I've had this polar, wearing a coat and giant ruff in my head for two years, so I decided to put him on paper (with the aurora). This is pencil, pen and ink, acrylic ink, embroidery floss, variety of Japanese paper (washi) and one vintage geological map of the Canadian arctic.
