the unexpected
It all started on this, his 50th Birthday Eve. A slice of Sawmill pizza pie and a stroll along the boardwalk on an usually cool August evening. A perfect beginning of a short, but much needed, four day vacation with the plans of celebration marking his half century of life.
It ended with a middle of night trip to the emergency room, a diagnosis of a twisted small intestine and four day hospital stay including but not limited to IV and a steady stream of purging all contents of my stomach.
Who knew what was to lay ahead. Ain’t life grand!!
