Early foreign interloper
From the same source as the previous posting comes this shot of an ex Scania Demonstrator which joined PMT's coaching arm in the mid '80s. ParaMounT Leisure (a gift of a name) grew rapidly like other divisions within the recently privatised ex NBC fleet and had a seemingly insatiable desire for coaches. Latterly demand for such had naturally been attended to by Leyland with Leopards and Tigers making up the bulk of things as one would expect with the NBC parentage. When 'freed' to dabble with other manufacturers, PL tried this Scania, a 'low driver' Plaxton Paramount bodied K112 and I seem to recall latterly purchased it. C112 DTM is seen here still wearing it's builder's demo livery but with sympathetically coloured Paramount Leisure fleetname boards attached to it, on the forecourt of Hanley Garage. If memory serves me correctly, the coach was painted dark blue, with some element of orange and yellow in the stripes.
