Marooned
Travelling back by bus yesterday to where we'd left our car, the journey took us through the re-developed Stratford bus station in east London. The location will be the transport hub for something known as the Olympics, though I doubt whether there'll be any of the said Leyland (prodominantly) export single deckers in attendance.
Anyway, to my surprise there appears to be a plinthed 0-6-0 'saddle tank' within the bus station's confines. From a fleeting glimpse it's named Robert and appears to be of Avonside manufacture. I've no idea whether it's significant to that specific area or whether some Councillor merely decided 'It would be nice to have an old train on display'.
