Internal communication.

Not my usual posting, but something a little different for light entertainment.

I've always had a draw towards the traditional independent 'values' when it came to operating buses. These were often thought of by those in larger more formal organisations to be unprofessional or maverick, but it got the job done when more the strictures of larger companies would cause things to stall.

In January of 1978, I began my life in buses, working for Stonier's of Goldenhill, who'd been part of The Berresford group for a couple of years by that time. If ever there was someone who thought outside the box, it was Jim Berresford. From him, I learned much that stood me in good stead, even if it didn't earn me a great deal (!) in the coming years.

The last lines of the above offering shows PMT's exasperation at Jim's methods, and this was in the late '50s!
