Against all odds ...
... the unique to Malta East Lancs bodied Dennis Falcon continues in traffic. A chassis type which should have had so much potential here in the UK, never quite made it into the same league as the similar Bristol RE it's manufacturers sought to emulate. Many years ago prior to it's export I had a brief involvement with this bus, and have to say that it was a surprisingly pleasant and lively machine to drive. Equally surprisingly, Gardner engined buses never really seemed to catch on in Malta, and it remains one of only a handful in service, so far as I can think, all the others are 'deckers. The bus started it's carrier with Lancashire Municipal, Hyndburn.
