Lough Swilly RE.

A recently completed project at work is this ex Ulsterbus Alexander (Belfast) bodied Bristol RELL6G. Several of the general type survive into preservation but most wear either Ulsterbus blue or Citybus dark red and 'cream'. The owner of this particular bus wanted to emulate those (including this) which went over the border to complete its life as a school bus with erstwhile independent 'Lough Swilly'. The livery, it is said, was inspired by the arrival into that fleet of several second hand Alexander (Falkirk) bodied Y Type Leyland Leopards from Clydeside Scottish.

Here, BXI 2570 pauses for a quick photo on its way from our main yard to the storage compound last week.
