CIE Tours, Leyland Leopard - Van Hool re- body
According to that fount of all knowledge, 'Bus Lists on the Web', AZD 167 was a 1971 Van Hool Re-body of a 1964 Leyland Leopard PSU3/4 chassis. Originally, I'd thought this too to be a Worldmaster, but it seems not. The CIE Tours liveried coach was seen working to Dublin Airport from 'Busaras', the City's central bus station. The picture was taken on one of those spectacular 'Day trips' which were possible by rail and sea from Crewe at minimal cost. The fare unbelievably at the time included a bottle of Irish whisky, and a bottle of wine... which could be sold upon one's return to a friend or family member for the price of your return fare!
I think that this would have been taken about 1980.
