It's being so cheerful as keeps me going!
I've just been admiring 'Lady Wulfrun's' postings of this evening relating to former North Staffordshire Independent bus operator, S Turner & Sons of Brown Edge.
About eighteen months ago, a friend and I were alerted to a listing on German ebay regarding a British double decker bus which was being sold. Unbelievably it was a former new to Turner's Northern Counties bodied Daimler Fleetline, JBF 169N. A hasty 'day trip' by car with all the necessary equipment to attempt a start up was taken, from Stoke on Trent to Hanover. That was the easy bit, but I wont bore you with the details that then ensued, suffice to say that we repatriated it, and were able to present it cosmetically restored at last years POPS rally at Wedgwood, Barlastone.
