Has anyone seen the engine?
Ex Birkenhead Corporation Leyland Titan PD2 seen inside our pristine workshop in the throws of having a 4cyl Cummins ISBe engine fitted. Iain's bulk obsures the shoe box sized power unit.
Before anyone starts to panic, GCM 152E is indeed having an engine change, but isn't downsizing, she's being beefed up to 680 spec from a 600.
Since the photo was taken, the 'new' engine's been installed and painted as has the whole of the engine bay and the surrounding chassis. Seemingly endless tweaks and modifications have now been completed and the bus is in the final stages of the job which should enable it to be collected by it's musuem owners very soon.
