This photo won first place in the people category at the Old World Wisconsin Photo Contest in 2005. I think this in an impressive photo as it captures the main rider in perfect focus and the second rider as well as the background are out of focus. This composition in the picture helps to draw attention to the main rider in the picture. There are no distractions in the background. The size fits the frame perfectly and the true color is captured in the photo. The only thing I find that could have made the photo slightly better is if the photographer captured the full horse in the photo and did not cut of the bottoms of the legs.
