Franconia Ridge
Franconia Ridge, New Hampshire (7/23/16) - To be more specific, pictured is Little Haystack on our way Mt. Lincoln. We knew the hardest part of the Franconia Ridge Loop was the trail to get to the ridge to begin with! Once on the ridge, the uphills were much more manageable plus you have 360 degrees panoramic vistas to enjoy. We chose to ascend via the Falling Waters trail as per recommendation by a blog. It stated that when facing inclement weather, such as the case later in the day, it's better not to have the wind and rain behind you when descending. Falling Waters trail have steep rocky sections that would've been a nightmare to descend if slippery.
