Northern General 4441

This was one of Northern's projects, a modified National 4441 MCN 840L is seen at Worswick Street bus station, Newcastle.

Note the roof pod.

Northern had quite a hand in the development of the phase two National, partly due to modifications tried out on this vehicle.

It was known locally as Humphrey.
