Apache Arrivals #3

The last couple of Apache's were flown by 3 Regiment crews, who appear to be flying the upgraded aircraft, where as 4 Regiment are still flying the earlier standard TADS fitted airframes. This one, ZJ224 was photographed by myself in the hangar at Wattisham on the day it returned from Afghanistan and Operation Herrick back in September 2008, after being trucked up from RAF Brize Norton on the back of a low loader. Even eight months on, it's quite a suprise to see it flying again. Note the code applied for Herrick can just be seen on the underside - a white 'K'.
