Nomad Bee (Nomada sp.)

Possibly a male Marsham's Nomad Bee, Nomada marshamella (it can't be a female N marshamella because the female has two distinct yellow spots on the back of her thorax).

 

Taken on 03 Jun 2018 at the Low Barns Nature Reserve near Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham. It was a cool-ish day, overcast, with awful, flat light, and there were very few animals out and about.
