Paddling the Willamette--4K Video
Sony HX53---These fellows had been doing some fishing along the way and say they caught a couple.
I'm very pleased with the way this camcorder is working. The B.O.S.S. image stabilization system is amazing, moving the entire lens assembly in a gimble-like way, to dampen any wiggles. It works well for both photos and videos. I had the camera on a monopod, that was held free-hand off the ground. I've reduced the bit-rate of the 4K video from the original of 100 Mbps down to 32 Mbps for showing on Flickr, using the H.264 codec. The original was done with the XAVC-S codec.
