Pasiflora / Passion flower (Passiflora vitifolia)

En la zona cercana a Puerto Valdivia encontre dos veces esta planta florecida. En la primera (fotos de abajo) el bosque era muy oscuro y las fotos no quedaron muy nitidas. El bosque aquí es un remanente del bosque original que se conservó para proteger una quebrada. La segunda que encontré estaba a pleno sol al borde del camino; su color era un poco mas anaranjado (primeras dos fotos). El fruto, llamado granadilla macho por los campesinos, no estaba bien madura y era bastante acida.

 

In the Puerto Valdivia (Colombia) area I found to wild plants of this passion flower that had flowers. The first one (photos below) was in a small forest that is a remnant of the original jungle; it was left to protect a creek. The conditions were very dark to get sharp photos The other was was at the side of a trail, at full sun (first two photos). The color of the second flower is somewhat orenge instead of the red color of the first one. The fruit was not fully ripe; it is quite sour, but edible.
