In 1913 the CFD purchased 4 cars for District Marshal's from Ahrens-Fox. The cars assigned to Districts 1 and 2 did not have a chemical tank while the cars assigned to Districts 3 and 4 did.The chassis used for these vehicles was a Republic automobile. Republic cars were made in Hamilton, Ohio.
