Obernai

* The journey from Metz to Jebsheim was somewhat quicker than I imagined . We had a couple of hours before we could arrive at our holiday rental property . We used the time profitably; we took a short detour to visit Obernai. This was our first look at one of the pretty villages that Alsace has in abundance .

Obernai is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department in Alsace. It lies on the eastern slopes of the Vosges mountains to the southwest of Strasbourg.
