Huriel from a high tower

I spent most of the last week in the pretty and historic village of Huriel in the Allier department in central France. The centre of the village is very old and was once surrounded by ramparts. My father lives in a house somewhere in the middle of the image.

The POV was from a tower built in the 12th and 13th centuries, which at 30 meters gave an excellent view of the village though the stairs to the top were hard work I will post a shot of the tower very soon

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE A COMMENT IT’S MUCH APPRECIATED.
