Ca Bag I
Bag made for my friend Carolyn from a pattern in SEW Everything by Diana Rupp. The original pattern calls for the handles to tie together, but Ca and I decided this made the handle too short, so overlapped them and sewed them together with a hidden stitch. I was going to use a button or brooch to decorate the area where the handles overlap, but Ca suggested embroidering Japanese letters (the characters I used mean friendship, which is super dorky I know but kind of sweet, right?) I also embroidered a little felt tag for the inside that says "hand made by jen" (which was totally ripped off from Futuregirl's fantastic tutorial, which I don't know how to link but check out her blog).
