A Dream View...Trillium Lake, Oregon

Highest position: 490 on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 - Not sure why this happens to me but, this was explored 4 days after I posted it. LOL!

 

 

Better known as Mt. Gary...errrrr...I mean Mt. Hood :)

 

After Traveling through the Gorge all day with Gary , making a quick stop for dinner and a IPA we made a mad dash to Trillium lake for sunset! It was quite the drive through the curvy hills. We probably averaged 80mph the whole way. Gary knew that the one shot I really wanted to get was the 3 rock comp at trillium lake. So after we got a bight to eat... It was on!

 

The sky and colors were looking great the whole drive to Mt. Gary. When we arrived it was not all that spectacular. Although, the lake was glass and it wasn't bad at all. Just not one of those epic Mt. Gary nights. I do have a few other images from here that I really like where some wispy clouds had moved in. One is a 2 minute exposure after the sun was down. I will post that at another time.

 

I did a bit of my own toning on this one just to give a touch of Jeff to the image. This is what it really looked like to me ; )

I seem to be having a bit of trouble with Flickr and images coming out too dark. This one seems a little dark and too saturated on here. Look ok on your side?
