Desert Horned Lizard
This little guy won 2nd place in the California Watchable Wildlife Photo Contest for October 2011 and was published in Outdoor California Magazine. Taken in Echo Canyon in Death Valley National Park. I guess I forgot about posting it on my Flickr until now. I highly recommend this contest; there is no entry fee, and you're helping California Department of Fish & Wildlife build a photo database of wildlife in California. Basically, in exchange for entering you are giving them a non exclusive license to use your photo, which you still retain all rights to.
