For full turn-key circuit board assembly, we take care of the entire process, including Printed Circuit Boards fabrication, components sourcing, order tracking, continuous monitoring of quality and final PCB board assembly. Whereas for partial turn-key, the customer can provide the PCBs and certain components, and the remaining parts will be handled by us.

 

What is PCB assembly?

PCB assembly is the process of populating a circuit board with all the desired components. It involves DFA, SMT, and through-hole components placement, testing, and final inspection.

 

To ensure an effective assembly process, you need to provide a clear BOM and assembly instructions, which should include all necessary annotations, such as reference indicators, component orientation, and descriptions related to washable and non-washable parts.

 

Step-by-step PCB assembly process:

 

1. DFA: Verifies Gerber/ODB++ and BOM

 

2. SMT assembly process using a pick and place machine

a. Solder paste screening/inspection

d. Automated optical inspection (AOI)
