what happens when you say no
Sometimes the deepest beliefs we carry are not always obvious. When someone asks, “What’s that deep belief that you have?” it often takes reflection to uncover it.
For some people, it might be the quiet fear of missing out on something important an opportunity, an experience, or a moment that could help them learn, grow, or move forward in their career. It’s that inner voice that says, “What if I miss something that could change everything?”
In today’s world, this feeling is often called FOMO the fear of missing out. It can push us to constantly stay connected, say yes to everything, and worry that somewhere, something better is happening without us.
But in therapy, these deeper beliefs are explored with curiosity and honesty. Understanding where they come from helps us see how they shape our choices, our fears, and the way we show up in life.
Sometimes, simply recognizing these patterns is the first step toward creating a healthier relationship with ourselves and the decisions we make. 🌿
