Full length of the snake, measuring against the pots after it left, the snake was about 40 to 42 inches long. It came up to the edge of the patio where my wife was sitting on a becnch talking on the phone abou t8 feet away. IThe bulge in the middle suggests it is digesting - mice or packrats most likely.
