Silverbird
"Silverbird" a beautiful flycatcher named after its silver head and back, with a contrasting vibrant orange-rufous underpart. Spotted this beauty while on a Game Drive. The daintiness of this little beauty contrasts the harsh thorns of the acacia, especially the huge thorn poking into its chest, which disturbed me while shooting. Interestingly, it is the only species classified in the monotypic genus Empidornis. This often occurs when close relative species go extinct, leaving a lone survivor, or when a species is so genetically distinct that it does not fit near any other living organisms. It has a sweet, thrush-like voice featuring high-pitched squeaks, whistles, and chatty phrases. Wikipedia, eBird
