Coordinating trenches

A hotspot has been identified within a maze of uncharted trenches at the bottom of the ocean. It's up to people so resourceful and bold as Captain Nemo to find this marker and see what is causing it. There is reason to believe he and his volunteers will see things down here that has never been on record, for better and for worse. Several submarines have reported signs of alien life but it has yet to be officially documented. The next submarine will be set to follow the same path through the kraken reef.

I know I say it a lot when talking about Disneysea, but this reminds me of a more pure Disney era. This ride, 20,000 leagues is not a liftoff from another park, it's not based on a movie, it's all practical sets, and it has it's own story. This is what a good ride needs to be like. Almost as good as Center Of The Earth nextdoor. Too bad Disney can't do ANYTHING original for their parks anymore. Now there were several points on the ride itself where it was too dark to get a good shot (but trust me when I say it's beautiful), so the only shots I got were in the queue, which in time became equally as dark but I had quite a few subjects to work with. They went with the dirty workshop look.

I kept the shadows up in editing and no ambient lighting from the outside. I gave more light to the props I wanted people to see in post. (Even though it wasn't of major importance I recolored some of the spotlights in the back). Tried to make the shot have a more mysterious look as if the future of this mission is uncertain (and spoiler, it kinda is). The suits in particular are some of my favorite subjects I've worked with in my Disneysea shots so far and I wonder if I can top it in September. And even if I talk highly of this particular experience I still vehemently stand by age-old closing tag for these shots.

I hate Disney.
