Monkey Head Nebula in Monoceros

The Monkey Head Nebula (NGC 2174) is an emission nebula in the constellation Monoceros, glowing from the radiation of young stars embedded within it. This image is a deep-sky stack that brings out the nebula’s soft red hydrogen clouds along with the surrounding star field.
