Ellsworth Rock Garden in Infrared, Voyageurs National Park
Accessible only by boat, Ellsworth Rock Gardens sits along the north shore of Kabetogama Lake in Voyageurs National Park. Beginning in the 1940s, self-taught artist Jack Ellsworth spent roughly 20 years creating terraced flower beds and more than 200 abstract rock sculptures. Black-and-white infrared emphasizes the contrast between the bright foliage and darker stonework.
