Cook Garden in Alameda

I like to play with massed color blocks when I can, and this pattern planting of the Mondo grass and Dymondia is one such effort. I don't know if anyone else even notices such details, but I think it adds a lot more interest to a small garden to have pulled the walk away from the wall, cut it into pieces and pulled it apart and planted it as you see here. Also, as this is a north facing wall, the Mondo Grass will do better in the constant shade than would the Dymondia.
