You can imagine how difficult it would be to do this without a deputy temporary junior assistant. To spin up a gyroscope, balance it on the point of an upturned paintbrush in the dark, trigger a long exposure then manually set off three flashes...
I don't have to imagine, as my DTJA did something that they referred to as "Going out on a Friday night" which is apparently something that DTJAs do these days
