My Poppy garden

 

 

Inspired by so many beautiful Poppy collages that were presented here lately, I really wanted to share with you my own collection of Poppies.

 

 

 

Some of you might have realized already that I'm naming them after flowers, trees etc. So far, not one of of them is really named "Poppy". Funny fact is that I kinda see the Poppy logo as "the" Poppy Parker and I'm still waiting for a doll based only on the logo.

 

 

 

I have listed them in the order I got them, not actually the correct order of release dates, but close.

 

 

 

Not listed are the three Poppy dolls my mom owns, those would be Ivy (Youthquake), Daisy (She's not there) and Orchid (Polynesia) ; ).

 

 

 

So, here they are:

 

 

 

1. Violet ("Veilchen" - Portrait in Black, the one that started it all!!!)

 

2. Holly ("Stechpalme" - Coney Island Saturday, love her so much since she reminded me of my alltime favourite Barbie doll, which is Benetton Teresa. Give me a light brown haired doll with brown eyes and red lips and a ponytail or pigtails and I'm LOST!)

 

3. Lilly ("Lilie" - I love how you love me. No Poppygate for me, I was one of the lucky lottery winners, still can't believe it!)

 

4. Peaches ("Pfirsich", Sweet Confection)

 

5. Fern ("Farn" - CIS. I bought her to become a ooak, but she still hasn't decided who she wants to be, so for the moment she pretends to be a mini Pomp and Circumstance Tulabelle *lol*)

 

6. Cherry ("Kirsche" - older sister to Holly, or at least that's what they told me ; ))

 

7. Rose (Don't need to translate that *lol* - Dream Teen Poppy, hard to photograph, I think)

 

8. Marron ("Marone" - In the air. Love her looks!)

 

9. Willow ("Weide" - Sunshine Games. She's hard to photograph, too, but I really love her dreamy eyes)

 

10. Juniper "Joon" ("Wacholder" - Lilac Frost. She has vibrant colors, but her features are so nice. Look at her delicate eyebrows!)

 

11. Pansy ("Stiefmütterchen" - formerly Summer Magic, now a ooak modeled after a FANTASTIC Poppy repaint of Matt Sutton. She's my dearest Poppy, together with Violet and Holly and I hope that someday she'll get her own photo story, set in the sixties... : ))

 

12. Clover ("Klee" - To the fair, she got her eyes repainted in green : ))

 

13. Foxglove "Foxy" ("Fingerhut" - Sweet in Switzerland. This doll is so beautiful, how can anyone resist her?)

 

14. Magnolia "Noly" ("Magnolie" - Joyful in Japan. Still undecided what to do with her hair. Such a cute one, though she looks really sassy here *lol*)

 

15. Hazel ("Haselnuss", Young Sophisticate. Her original hairstyle just wasn't mine, so I tried to do what Rocco did. Not that easy, but I like it much better)

 

16. Honeysuckle "Honey" ("Geißblatt", Barefoot in the Park Corie Bratter, I'm pretty sure she'll join Pansy's sixties gang *lol*)

 

17. Dandelion ("Löwenzahn", might get a makeover or not, still undecided. But she liked the name instantly)

 

18. (Morning) Glory ("Winde", wie z.B. die Ackerwinde - Especially for you. I got her from a dear dolly friend [huhu Benny!], who has given her the name "Aurora". I liked that so much that it has become her middle name)

 

19. Tulip ("Tulpe" - Girl from INTEGRITY. Still a new doll, but her features are so nice and though I got one of the "rusty" ones, her face is perfect and I really love her)

 

20. Pepper ("Pfeffer", Lotta Danger - I was a bit torn due to the promo pics but having her in hands, I'm totally convinced of keeping her. She's awesome!)

 

21. Jasmine ("Jasmin" [*winking* @ Mine : )] Spy a go go. This doll is so beautiful! Her make-up is sooo sixties, her hair has a beautiful color and she'll join Pansy's girls definetely. Her hair is perfect for a flight attendant's cap ; ))

 

 

 

That's the collection so far. Soon on its way will be the Joyful Celebration Poppy. She'll be part of my Mom's collection, but naming her will be my job. Due to her classic hairstyle I thought "Calla" would be nice...
