Ramune
What a surprise! Ramune is a fizzy lemonade that first appeared in Kobe in 1884. It was introduced by the Scot, Alexander Sim. The bottle is glass and closed with a marble. It's technically called a Codd-neck bottle (who knew?) which is the same as the bottles that once were used for ginger beer.
When you press the marble into the bottle it releases the pressure inside with a distinctive pop - hence the generic name for fizzy drinks.
