New Vallarta Supermarkets #21 Comparison Photos
Vallarta recently opened its new Oxnard store in former Ralphs #190. While I wasn't able to make the grand opening which was this past September (although the store was busy enough that it felt like a grand opening), I was able to check this new Vallarta out.
I thought it would be cool to do side by side comparisons of the old Ralphs in comparison with the new Vallarta. When I was there, I tried my best to take photos in the same spot as when I visit this store as a Ralphs. I would say most photos are pretty much on point, however, the left side of the store where most of the service counters are seemed to be pushed in about 10 feet or so, so the ones on that side of the store may be a little off.
Just as I assumed would be the case, Vallarta absolutely left nothing behind from the old Ralphs that I could visually see as a customer. The only part of the initial store layout left in tact was the floral department, which was in the front right corner, but it still was renovated to not be recognizable from Ralphs. There were a lot of store employees stocking this area, so unfortunately I chose not to heavily photograph this area, however, I do plan on returning at some point, so I will probably take more infill photos soon. It's sad to see a Ralphs that managed to keep an older decor package for so long go, but I'm glad Vallarta was able to transform the space into something great for the community.
