NS SD40-2 3224, built as SOU high hood SD40-2 3224 in September 1973 and converted to an Admiral Cab at the NS Altoona Works in 2013, switches around the industrial park south of NS Voltz Yard just outside of the Birmingham border. NS 3224's assignment today is to switch a load of boxcars for Heartland Sheets.
