So yesterday, during Pride month, the US government announced it was cutting off funding to the suicide hotline for LGTBQ people. The Trump White House called it "a chat service where children are encouraged to embrace radical gender ideology by ‘counselors’ without consent or knowledge of their parents." LGTBQ youth are four times more likely to attempt or commit suicide than their straight peers.
