Agra, India: street scene
There is another major attraction in Agra: the Red Fort. To get there we had to drive some 20 minutes through the town's crowded streets. On the way, we witnessed some pretty miserable living conditions which I tried to capture the best I could from the moving car. Unfortunately, under these conditions, I was not able to get the perfect picture. However, this and the following two shots, should give you an idea.
I love to photograph street scenes. I find that it is the best way to capture the social character and the pulse of a place. But street scenes are not the easiest subjects to photograph because it involves photographing people not always at their best and almost never with their consent. So, one has to be discreet which often means foregoing the perfect shot and settling for the next best. I want to show several street scene in this set, but I hope that my Flickr friends will understand those constraining factors.
