Me on October 17, 1969 (age 22) in my room at London House, a student residence near Russell Square, London (see previous), less than a month after arriving in the British capital to begin a 4-year graduate study program in geology/geochemistry at Imperial College which was then the Faculty of Sciences of the University of London. I was in room 141, small but comfortable, with a view on the inner courtyard (see next). Note that if the photo had been taken today, there would be tons of electronics on the desk. The only electronics in this picture is an AM/FM/SW Sony portable radio.
