Intriguing …or just weird?
As we progressed towards our next destination, Goritsy, we saw a lot of tell-tale signs of how people live their lives in this remote part of Russia, but none as glaring as this shack on the shores of the Sheksna River. It must be a fishing hut; I just couldn't fathom someone living in there!
It's worth looking at this picture large. There seems to be a man sitting on a blue drum holding what looks like a long stick that he might be using as a fishing rod; but I can't figure him out. Actually, he looks more like a dummy to me!
