Last dance on Łeba line
The line to Łeba is a branchline, historically starting at Pruszcz Gdański but de facto being its own entity between Lębork and Łeba (the line ceased existing on most other parts in the 2000s).
Its reconstruction started in Autumn of 2026. I never caught a normal revenue passenger train there (despite the fact that, for a long time, they were hauled by classic SM42 engines). That's why I had to come in multiple times during the deliveries for construction works.
For the last couple of weeks when rails were being brought in, SM31-143 of trainspeed in the retro livery started work here. I only got one picture of it because I was traveling a lot when it was working.
Here is the loco seen at the outskirts of Lębork with a short train loaded with rails bound for unloading at Garczegorze. The locomotive actually had a breakdown some 100 meters after the picture was taken, which allowed me to chase it by walking in deep snow.
