Olive green duo
In april of this year, SM42-517 has gotten its repair done by ASO SPS. Since then it runs for the servicing company, though not very often, only occasionally doing special tasks.
On December the 7th of 2025 the engine was attached as a pusher onto a loaded train of 22 grain carriages, which were bound for Kretki for unloading. At the siding in Kretki there is a large processing facility, which produces feed out of soybean and rapeseed. At the front of the train was SU42-510, also a retro-painted engine, albeit with modern headlights and a slightly less attractive colour scheme.
One of the spots, where we decided to take a picture was just before Skępe. We were stood on a viaduct above the tracks and got reported to the authorities, for acting suspiciously. The police arrived right as the train was passing us, but the controll luckily went very smoothly. We were kind of afraid, because, the situation with photography in Poland has gotten way worse, but the policemen had zero problems with that :).
