TEM2-244 returns from the dumpsite 'Aniołki' of the Knurów coal mine with a set of empty self-discharge carriages after unloading gangue.
The 39 year old TEM2-244 was always associated with the region, as it belonged to the Cocking Plant 'Przyjaźń' in Dąbrowa Górnicza since its production. The plant is the forefather of Spedkoks Logistics - later merged into JSW Logistics, which the loco now belongs to.
The 'motto' I have chosen for today describes my feelings during my first longer stay in Silesia quite perfectly. Visiting and photographing sites which feel half-legal is almost eerie, but I feel like it deffinitely was worth it in the end. The experiences are unforgettable and the landscapes with trains running on them are something truly out of this world.
