Pyramiden (Пирами́да), Svalbard is a Soviet-built mining town sitting abandoned in the high arctic. Pyramiden remains 'frozen in time' as one of the world’s northernmost settlements ever built at about 79°N (about 800 miles to the North Pole). (2013)
