Refurbs Running Road

CP 6012 leads a trio of overhauled, rebuilt, or otherwise repainted set of EMDs powering Cartier-Toronto CPKC 422-21 down the MacTier Subdivision, knocking down the approach-lit intermediates at Mile 7.9. The power planners up north bless this road train regularly with the unique sight of seeing an SD40 lead every now and then, which is generally unseen outside of work train and MoW service, or maybe even the rare wayfreight local. Road trains were what they were built for, so seeing them in their original environment is always worth going for in this late date regardless of how modernized they look compared to the previous generations of CP Rail paint. The other locomotives in the consist are in a similar boat, 2283 is a former GP9u now GP20C-ECO, and 6248, former SOO 6048 which fortunately didn't get rebuilt once acquired by CP.
